Products FAQ

Can I use the die stone with alginate impression material?

Our high-quality die stone is compatible with various impression materials. You can also use it with alginate impression to form high detailed casts.

Is die stone more superior to dental stone?

Die stone has high strength and low setting expansion compared to dental stone which helps to make comparatively stronger cast.

How can we store die stone in dental clinic?

After removing die stone from package, it should be stored in dry airtight containers in room temperature. Avoid using wet instruments to scoop out materials. To increase its shelf life, close the lid tightly after use.

What is the use of dental die stone?

Dental die stone is used to create accurate and detailed models of patients' teeth and jaws. These models are essential for fabricating dental appliances, and dental prosthetics like crowns, bridges.

How do I mix die stone?

Take water as per instructed on the package in a bowl. Measure the powder as per mentioned on the package (100gm) in a measuring scoop. Gradually add powder to water while mixing to avoid lumps. Mix it with a straight spatula. Starting from center and moving outward in circular motion until it forms a smooth, creamy consistency (thick batter consistency). Place the mixing bowl on vibrator or tap the bowl for few seconds to prevent air bubble formation. Pour thick batter into impression immediately as it can set fast. Tap the impression tray while pouring for casts with minimal or no air bubbles.

What can we do to prevent air bubble formation?

Air bubble can cause casts to be ill defined and brittle. To prevent air bubble formation, we can keep mixed material on mixing vibrator for few seconds or until air bubbles escapes from material. Extra care must be taken while pouring the material. To get a detailed impression, pour slightly thin mix into impression and tap the impression tray to escape the air trapped inside and then pour thick mix and tap. Allow the material to settle completely before removing. If you don't have a vibrator then after mixing you tap the mixing bowl on a slab for a few seconds to remove the trapped air inside.
